Chenjiagou, the birthplace of Tai Chi, has convenient transportation and open terrain. It is a popular practice for young, old, women and children in the village to practice boxing. There have been many famous practitioners in the past. It is said that “you can lift your legs after drinking Chengou water”. Chenjiagou Tai Chi School is located in the center of Chenjiagou Village. Chenjiagou Tai Chi School was established in 1980 with funds raised by the Henan Provincial Tourism Bureau. It is a professional Tai Chi training school that currently has primary schools, junior high schools, and technical secondary schools. , a school with college and undergraduate education qualifications. Chen Xiaowang, the 19th generation Tai Chi master of the Chenjiagou Chen family, is the principal, and Chen Xiaoxing, the 19th generation Tai Chi gatekeeper of the Chenjiagou Chen family, is the executive principal. Chen Ziqiang, the direct descendant of the 20th generation of Chen Tai Chi, is appointed as the head coach.
Since the school was founded in 1980, it has trained batches of Tai Chi coaches and teachers, who have won many honors for the birthplace of Tai Chi in major international and national competitions. At the same time, it has made great contributions to the export of Tai Chi to the world and the promotion and popularization of Tai Chi. Chenjiagou Tai Chi School now covers an area of more than 30 acres. It has strong teaching staff and complete supporting facilities. It recruits long-term students over the age of 5 throughout the year. As well as short-term class students of all ages, since its establishment in 1980, the school has cultivated Tai Chi routines, equipment, push hands, and San Shou champions at international and national levels, and has won more than thousands of gold medals.
As the first full-time, formal and traditional Tai Chi college in China, Chen Taichi Academy has held Tai Chi training classes every year for more than 40 years, adhering to the traditional teaching model of Chen style Tai Chi – teaching by words and deeds, using The small group, hierarchical teaching method is divided into different areas according to the age of the students: adult group and youth group. There are about 30 students in each class, covering people at all stages of elementary school, junior high school, high school, and university, allowing people of different ages to Anyone can learn Tai Chi. The learning method of the school’s adult group is to study as and when they come, basically for short periods and holidays. Most of them come here to study for the purpose of health and fitness. There are also some adult students who study at school all year round. They hope that after completing their studies, they can open classes and set up centers in their hometowns to teach and promote traditional Tai Chi.

Meals
Full room and board service includes 3 warm meals per day （same as masters and Chinese students). This goes throughout seven days a week and included in your tuition fees. The dishes vary every day and there are 3-4 different dishes a day which consists of rice or noodles and a a selection of vegetables, meat and/or eggs. Of course you can feel free to skip a meal, acdemy is near with Zhaobao Town. So you can go to the town to enjoy other Chinese delicacies, or buy other food and fruits in the supermarket.
Tap water can not drankable unless it is boiled. Our academy will provide free kettles so you can drink free hot water. You can also buy bottled purified water for about 20 cents a bottle(550ml) in the supermarket.
Hotel Style Rooms
All of our foreign students live in the living building with the hotel style private single room. Every room is equipped with single bed (or separate double beds), the independent bathroom, air-conditioner, 24 hours hot water, free internet access (or WIFI), wardrobes and other supporting facilities. We can guarantee a comfortable life in summer and winter during you stay at our academy.
Due to cultural and customary differences, we don’t arrange roommates for international students. If you are 2 (or more than 2) people coming together, you can choose to live in a hotel-style shared double room (with 2 separate beds) and the cost will be cheaper.
Our Academy provides free washing machines for students to do their laundry. Clothes can be dried on the drying racks and standing bars in the school yard.
Training Grounds
Chenjiagou Tai Chi School has dedicated indoor and outdoor training venues. When the weather permits, training will be conducted outdoors. Sometimes, we will train in the Tai Chi ancestral temple near with the academy. During rain and cold weather, training in inside facilities.
